Bone 2 + Holder

The bones are presented in a plastic box and mounted in polyurethane foam. The bones can be easily removed from the foam if desired.

The Pettigrew Temporal Bone Holder is a simple device which can be made by anyone with minimal manual skills. It is an optional extra for use with the bones.  Using the Holder the dissector has a similar range of movement to that available to the surgeon in the operating theatre. The foam obscures access to the medial aspect of the bone, again simulating the experience of the surgeon operating on a patient.
